Battlestar Galactica: Mini-series, Seasons 1 & 2 (4 out of 5 stars): This is a relatively new series on the Sci-Fi Channel based on the campy 70's show. I am not a Trekkie, and generally dislike Science Fiction, but this series had me hooked. In a nutshell, it is a great drama that just happens to be in the sci-fi genre. It's filmed in Vancouver, BC, so there are lots of good visuals as well.
Sleeper Cell: Season 2 (4 out of 5 stars) - I love this show, but felt a bit cheated by the 2nd season b/c it was only 8 episodes long. I wanted more! I'm a fan of 24, but this show blows it out of the water. If you enjoy espionage, counter-terrorism and the like, try this show, but definitely start with Season 1.
Weeds: Season 1 (3 out of 5 stars) - Showtime series about a suburban mom who sells pot to support her family after her husband dies. Strange premise, mildly entertaining show, not sure we'll rent Season 2 if/when it comes out.
Entourage: Season 3 (4 out of 5 stars) - Julie and I both love this show, which is rare. We decided it really is like a male version of Sex in the City set in L.A. Again, start with Season 1 if you haven't seen the show before.
Anything you've seen lately that you would recommend?
matt and i second that recommendation on entourage. we've always said it was a mail version of sex and the city. :) great minds think alike i guess!
